The Alt For Norge Adventure

About Me

IMG_2244My name is Lars Phillips – and I was a contestant on Season 7 of Alt For Norge!

First off some basics:

I was born and raised in Seattle.

I’m a 2010 University of Washington graduate with a Bachelor of the Arts in Business Administration, and formal options in Finance and Marketing. Basically I like numbers.

I’ve worked at Avier Wealth Advisors – an investment management and financial planning firm located in Bellevue, WA – since 2010. I’m a partner in the firm, and work as a Lead Advisor, helping people create and implement financial plans, make great financial decisions, and get their financial lives organized. We do particuarly good work with Pacific Northwest tech employees. I’ve been in the New York Times twice discussing Social Security. I also have a huge passion for advisor technology, having spoken at the TD Ameritrade National Conference in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018, and having been interviewed by InvestmentNews.

Slightly more obscure:

I’m a VERY proud sponsor of The Ballard Nordics, a team in Ballard Little League. I’m a huge fan of baseball, and love playing it, so growing up Ballard Little League had a huge impact on me. I figured the best way for me to give back was to sponsor a team – even if I like to joke that I’m the team “owner”.

I have a HUGE passion for travel. To date I’ve been to 32 countries on 6 continents. I think that travel allows you to gain perspective on how the rest of the world lives, helps to show you what’s truly important in life, and allows you to be appreciative of all that you have.

My friend JP Osseward and I founded the Dick’s Drive-In Walkathon – an event that raises money for Seattle area homeless charities by walking to all 6 Dick Drive-In restaurants in a single day.
